Works for me

Review by Billie on 7/9/2015
I have a baby boy that is a heavy, fast wetter. I have been searching many materials for the "bullet proof" diaper. I started with microfiber-leaked, then added hemp-helped but created gaps in the legs with lead to leaking, then switched to kitchen flour sack towels-leaked, then added hemp-bulky, and although the KFST with hemp did work, it was super bulky. Was I asking too much for it to be trim too ;P. I heard about Zorb next. The description was too good to be true. I bought several yards and crossed my fingers.

After using these for several weeks I have discovered that although not "bullet proof", they do really well. I use 2 layers (I know 3 is recommended) sandwiched between suede cloth and an old receiving blanket. Under it I fold a hemp insert (2-3 layers) under the pee zone. This usually works without leaks as long as I change him within 2 hours or so. If he gets more than one pee in, it's too much and the pee finds an escape route along the leg holes (even with double gussets).

The zorb seems to absorb as much as the kfst did, but it did not do one thing as advertised for me. It was said that it absorbs quickly and spreads it throughout the rest of the insert. I find that only the front and bottom of the insert is wet and not the back. The hemp underneath slows the strong forceful pee and can be moderately wet to soaked and still zorb is not always completely wet. Could be how my baby pees or maybe I suck at sewing and did something wrong? Either way, they do really well and are trim. I am happy with my purchase. Still have to use disposables at night though... Read more reviews

love Zorb
i love this stuff.
it's itchy on the skin, so you don't want to have it directly against baby's skin but this stuff topped with some fleece and a waterproof layer underneath makes for great diapers and "mama cloth" as well. it's super absorbent and gets better with each wash. i've been using some ZORB fabric in my pads for like 3 years and haven't had a single issue with it, i double it to make All-in-one diapers and pull ups for my kids.

Light weight but powerfully absorptive.
This is a fantastic product. I use it as the middle layer in the diaper liners that I make. It is thin but extremely absorptive, so it is a perfect product for this application because the liners are not bulky and highly effective.

Love the Softer Zorb <3
Love ZORB!! I've been using Zorb for the last 5 years now. I love that the Zorb has become softer and flexible making it much easier to sew than before. For those who may remember, it was impossible to buy Zorb a couple of years ago. I would usually receive my fabric a couple of months after placing the order. I had completely given up on using this fabric. Now i place my order and the fabric is at my door in 4 days. A joy to be working with Zorb & Wazoodle again <3

Needs to be interlined between 2 layers of fabric
I bought this to compare with the zorb dimples to see which would be the better choice as the absorbent layer. It absorbs great, didn't find much of a difference between this and the dimple. However this needs to be interlined between 2 layers of fabric, while zorb dimples doesn't need to be interlined.

Great for guinea pig cages
I bought this material to make liners for a guinea pig cage. It works a lot better than the old microfiber drying mats I was using. Zorb is exactly what it says it is - super absorbent. It's working so well I may by another few yards so I'll have more time between washer loads. The idea is simple: sandwich a sheet of Zorb between two pieces of anti-pill fleece, sew together, and voila! Instant small-animal-cage liner, without the mess of wood or paper shavings!

Great product
This is a great product. Very easy to use and store. It arrived quickly and was packaged well. We made cloth diapers and looked for an absorbent fabric to use for diaper inserts. Great absorbency . The left over scraps I used to make "Belly Bands" absorbent bands that fit around male dogs to prevent accidents. They work great! They have a greyhound!
